ABOUT ME
Alyssa is a writer, nature-lover, and artist.

“Written word flows freely through me; pen and paper as good company, my raft companions.”
– Alyssa

– More About the Author –
Alyssa is a nature lover, a hopeless romantic, and an artist. She is fond of indie, folk, and alternative music with a particular fancy for their use of wordplay, rhyme, and emotional expression through the art of storytelling. She has been an avid journaler and writer and has had a creative spirit since her grade school years. Her interest in poetry and short stories emerged during her undergraduate years at a small liberal arts college.
As an ever-curious and evolving woman, she aims to challenge her ways of existing through eager trips down introspection alley by exploring ecology, ideas, and habits and reflecting in nature’s company.
As an ever-emotional being, she aims to be truthful and transparent when conveying emotions felt profoundly and honestly by the masses. A goal rooted in her belief that if we are not first honest, understanding, and accepting of ourselves in all our unpleasantries, misfortunes, and deepest sorrows, we are essentially robbing others of an opportunity to feel seen, heard, and understood.
As an artist, she places emphasis on vibrance, softness, and the realness of the human experience and the world around us in all its natural forms of beauty. All paintings are in acrylic or watercolor.
Landscape paintings are from photos taken by Alyssa. Locations vary from Central Illinois to Sitka, Alaska, and cities and towns in between – Salt Lake City & Park City, Utah; California Coastline (Pebble Beach), and more.
